A cognitive and conative sense organs and other limbs of the physical body take their orders from the mind. Mental health therefore , becomes very important for maintainance of physical health.
If the mind is restless , agitated, perverted or perplexed, it cannot provide proper guidance to the sense organs. The whole body system gets upset. The body does not feel well when the mind is under stress , and the mind does not function as efficiently when the body is in pain. Common sense tells us that a mentally stimulated , active and vital person has a better chance of keeping his or her faculties in order.

The true way to render age vigorours is to prolong the youth of the mind .for prolonging the youth of the mind . sage patanjali has , in his yoga darshan enumerated five ethical disciplines, “yama” and five rules of conduct “niyama” which control the passions and emotions and keep a person in harmony with his fellowmen . all great men consider that follow these rules and disciplines is necessary to keep the mind healthy and at peace eith its enviroment .
